Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has expressed his delight at being able to play with international team-mates Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli in the weekend's 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Vertonghen is a firm fan of his Belgium team-mates and was glad of the opportunity to link up when facing David Moyes men. The centre-back-cum-left-back also feels that he combined well with Dembele and Chadli.

 


Vertonghen told Het Nieuwsblad: "It was fun to see that we three were there again.

"At the beginning of the season we played together, now we three were all together on the left side.

"I was glad to be with the boys again and I think we played a good game."

Vertonghen will be hoping for more chances to strike up a deeper understanding with Dembele and Chadli with the World Cup in Brazil on the horizon next summer.

All three are expected to be key men for Belgium.
