Manchester United manager David Moyes feels that the fact he knows the Everton players well will not necessarily provide his side with an advantage this evening.

The Red Devils, who Moyes took over in the summer, succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson, host the manager's former club at Old Trafford and following two successive Premier League draws will be looking to get back to winning ways.

They face an Everton side in good form however, the Toffees sitting fifth while Manchester United are eighth.

But despite managing Everton for over ten years, Moyes does not feel he has any inside knowledge which will provide his current team with an advantage.

"It was a great club for me at the time in my career when I left Preston North End. They were fabulous to me. They gave me a chance to succeed at the club the best I could", Moyes told his club's official site.

"[But] I don't think it's any advantage that I know the players.

"They have a new manager there and he's brought in his own players as well.

"I do know a lot of them; in fact, I probably brought all of them into Goodison, except the recent ones."
