Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is of the opinion that last night was Eden Hazard’s best performance under him after the winger inspired his side to a 4-3 win over Sunderland.

In a frantic game at the Stadium of Light, the Belgian international bagged a brace in addition to providing the assist for Frank Lampard’s goal.

On the other hand, Jozy Altidore, John O'Shea and Phillip Bardsley, who scored an earlier own goal, were on the scoresheet for the Black Cats.

And Mourinho lauded Hazard for his brilliant display, while also praising the performances of fellow midfielders Juan Mata and Willian.

“It was his best performance playing for me. We know about the talent, but for the first time under me he showed ambition from the first to the last minute”, the manager told his club’s official site.

“He has great talent but sometimes he can disappear from games. Today, he was fantastic – getting the ball, attacking defenders, shooting.

“Him, Mata and Willian were creative and dynamic. They gave to the team what they needed in terms of creation.”

Chelsea, who remained in second spot in the Premier League and are now on 30 points from 14 games, will next lock horns with Stoke City on Saturday.
