Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has backed Luis Suarez to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in vying for the best player in the world title very soon indeed.
Suarez was in sublime form last night against Norwich City at Anfield, scoring four goals as Rodgers' men took the Canaries apart with a 5-1 win.
The Uruguayan's first goal was a 45-yard lob over Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy, his second a close-range finish, his third a classy half-volley and his fourth a superbly taken free-kick.
Now Suarez has scored 13 goals in nine Premier League games this season. And Rodgers thinks the former Ajax man will progress to fight for the title of best player in the world.

Rodgers said via his club's official site: "The repertoire he showed was incredible really. I felt for the Norwich defenders, because if you come up against someone like that who is a top, world-class payer, it's very difficult to contain him.
"I think if you look at Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – those two have been out on their own for a few years.
"But Luis is still only 26 and I really think he's going to make improvements to his game over the coming years.
"We do a lot of work and we talk about the improvements in his game and how he can improve."
