Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed that Robin van Persie is still “not ready” to play after the striker missed his side’s 1-0 loss against Everton at Old Trafford last night.
The Dutch international, who is suffering from a groin injury, last played for the Red Devils in their 1-0 win over Arsenal on 10th November.
In addition to sitting out the last four games in all competitions for Manchester United, the 30-year-old also missed Holland's international friendlies during the break.
Although Moyes refused to put a timeline on Van Persie’s return to action, the Scot was quick to add that the former Arsenal player’s injury is not serious.

"I don't know [when he will return]", the manager told his club’s official site.
"We've been trying to get him back for a few weeks.
"But he is not ready yet. It's his groin. It's a sore groin injury and nothing desperately serious."
Moyes will be hoping for Van Persie to return to action for his side’s upcoming Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday, as fellow forward Wayne Rooney is suspended from the game after picking up a booking against Everton.
