Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that he feels Manchester United are still in the Premier League title race despite falling 12 points off the pace.

The Gunners won 2-0 over Hull City last night and curved out a 12-point gap between themselves and the Red Devils, who succumbed to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Everton on the same night.

However, Wenger, who admitted that Manchester United’s loss against Everton was a surprising result, is still not willing to rule out the reigning English champions as Premier League title contenders.

“No [I won’t rule them out of the title race]. It's still early”, the Frenchman said at a press conference, via his club's official site.

“It is a surprising defeat [to Everton] but it is still early. We have seen that before, 12 points, only on us.”

Wenger further added that he wants his side to focus on themselves and continue winning matches in view of having a chance to lift the Premier League trophy this term.

“We have just to keep winning to have a chance, and not worry too much about the others”, he added.

Arsenal, who are currently four points clear at the top of the table with 34 points from 14 outings, are next up against Everton on Sunday.
