Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has admitted that he believes the English Premier League is on a par with the German Bundesliga and has raised the prospect of him continuing his playing career for another ten years.

The Dutch hitman was at the centre of much transfer speculation this time last year, with his contract at Schalke due to expire in the summer.

But, despite links with Arsenal and Liverpool, Huntelaar agreed to pen an extension and stayed put in Germany.

And the 30-year-old is loving his football, so much so that he does not want to consider the end as being close yet.

"I feel young and fit, and I want to play at least another ten years", he told Bild.

"I still have 18 months on my contract with Schalke and so there is time to think about whether or not to extend it.

"I'm fine here and I want to give my best for this club."

And Huntelaar also dropped a hint about a possible future move to play in England.

"England? Sometimes I think it is a great league, along with the German one of the best in Europe."
