Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has rewarded Schalke for keeping faith in him despite injury by pledging his foreseeable future to the club.

The 30-year-old returned from a long knee injury break at the end of January, and even scored in the 3-0 win over Hamburg.

Schalke had been tempted to move into the winter transfer window to search for an able replacement, but eventually opted to wait for Huntelaar's recovery.

And Holland international forward Huntelaar has now disregarded any notion of an exit, even as his contract runs out in 2015.

"My contract is actually no issue," he told Bild. "It is not in my plan to leave Schalke.

"I am concentrating only on Schalke. I have a contract for one-and-a-half years left.

"I do not know in detail what's in my contract, but that does not matter."

Huntelaar had been a target for Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool, last winter but felt the English game could not do much to improve him.
