Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is disappointed after his side’s exit from the Europa League despite a 2-2 draw in the second leg of the last 16 game against FC Porto on Thursday.
The Italian side had lost the first leg 1-0 in Portugal last week, and were knocked out of the European tournament on an aggregate loss of 3-2, but the Argentine international believes the Azzurri deserved a place in the last eight.

"We deserved to go through", Higuain was quoted as saying by Napoli’s official website.
"Tonight we played a great game. We had scoring chances and their goalkeeper saved on several occasions. The crowd applauded because we know that Napoli deserved to go on to Europe.

"But this is not the end of the season and we have to look ahead. There are still many games to be won, and we want to be able to reach our goals for our fans”, the 26-year-old rued.
Napoli are third in Serie A table, three points behind second-placed Roma and will take on Fiorentina in their next league game on Sunday.
They are also contending for the Italian Cup as they play against Fiorentina in the final on 3rd May.
