Celtic manager Neil Lennon has hailed striker Leigh Griffiths as his side stand on the brink of capturing their third consecutive Scottish title.

Victory for Celtic against Partick Thistle this evening will ensure Lennon's men retain the Scottish crown and Griffiths will be an enthusiastic collector of a league winners' medal.

The striker was brought to Celtic in January from League One side Wolverhampton Wanderers and Lennon believes the Scottish hitman's impact has been immediate.

"Leigh’s come in and added that little bit of spark to us", Lennon told his club's site.

"He’s got goals in him, his work-rate is fantastic, and I think there’s a lot more to come from him so I think we’ve got him at a good stage in his career", the Celtic boss added.

Griffiths grabbed a hat-trick for Celtic on 1st March as the Bhoys crushed Inverness 5-0 at Paradise.

Celtic's lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership is 23 points.
