West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce came down heavily on the home supporters after they booed the team during the course of the match last night, even though the Hammers won against Hull City.
After Hull’s goalkeeper Allan McGregor was sent off, the Hammers played more than an hour against Hull’s 10 men but failed to dominate or wrest control of the match, which frustrated the home fans.

In his post-match press conference Allardyce criticised the fans for booing their own team, even though they were winning.
"I've never been in a place where I've won and got booed", Allardyce told his club's site, adding: "Fans affect players.”

Allardyce went on to say that during the half-time interval it was difficult for him to motivate the players and bring their focus back to the challenge at hand. Allardyce stressed the fact that players are if the fans start getting on their back in the middle of a game.
"At half-time, the players were talking more about fans booing them than the game. I had to make sure they kept focused on the field.
"I started playing at 16, got in a first team at 18 and am 59 now, but I've never been in place where I won and got booed."
West Ham did manage to beat Hull 2-1 on the back of a James Chester own goal in the second half.
