Brian McDermott has already mentally moved on from the current season and is targeting which players to sign for Leeds United over the summer months.

Leeds have slipped down the Championship table this term and, having steered clear of the drop, have little to play for in their remaining two games.

Thoughts have turned to the summer and investment from new owner Massimo Cellino, the Italian having admitted he is eyeing promotion to the Premier League within two years.

Cellino said recently: "At 57 years old I am back into the game and trying to get into the Premier [League] in two years.

"But it will not be easy."

And McDermott knows the Leeds squad will need real strengthening if Cellino's dreams are to be achieved.

"We need to plan for pre-season and plan for the squad", McDermott said via his club's site.

"There’s no doubt there will be changes.

"We’ve got targets and we’ll try and do deals", he added.
