West Ham United defender Winston Reid believes that the Hammers need to start scoring goals to get back to winning ways and the last home game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur is the perfect opportunity to end the season on a high.

West Ham are on a run of four defeats and still need at least a point in their final two games of the season to guarantee survival in the Premier League.

"I don't think we are nervous. I just think that the balls are not really falling for us at the moment. We have been punished in the last two games when maybe earlier on in the year we would have got two draws”, he 25-year-old told the club’s official site.

The Kiwi defender believes it is the lack of goals in the last few games that has led to the current predicament that they find themselves in and feels that the Hammers have to win the London derby against Tottenham next weekend to end the season strongly and guarantee survival.

"We just can't seem to score goals at the moment and we are conceding, so it is not really the best.

“It is four defeats on the bounce now and we are not particularly happy with that, so we have to win our next game and that is at home against Tottenham, it is as simple as that.”

West Ham are currently 15th in the Premier League table on 37 points and next face Tottenham this Saturday at Upton Park.
