West Ham United have announced that they will be touring New Zealand as part of their pre-season preparations for the first time in their history.

The pre-season tour will see the Hammers play two games in the Kiwi country against A-League sides Wellington Phoenix and Sydney FC.

Their first fixture will be against the Phoenix at Eden Park, Auckland on 23rd July and then against Sydney FC at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on 26th July.

Hammers defender Winston Reid is naturally pumped-up about the trip as he is the captain of New Zealand national team and is excited to play for West Ham in his homeland.
