West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce admits he was impressed with the performances of his forwards against Crystal Palace.

The Hammers registered a convincing 3-1 Premier League away win against Palace on Saturday at Selhurst Park.

Goals from Mauro Zarate, Stewart Downing and Carlton Cole gave West Ham their first win of the season, following defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Allardyce was pleased with the performances of his forwards and feels that some of the finishing on Saturday was top notch.

"The quality of our finishing was superb as opening the opposition up is very difficult”, the West Ham manager told the club’s official site.
