Santi Cazorla believes that today’s match against Everton is an opportunity for Arsenal to put things right after their midweek Champions League disappointment.
The Gunners suffered a demoralising 3-1 defeat at Monaco’s hands at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, which has put their hopes of qualifying for the last eight of the competition in serious jeopardy.
Arsene Wenger’s team have come under fire after another disappointing result in a big match in Europe and Cazorla believes that Arsenal deserve every bit of the criticism that they are receiving at the moment.
However, he feels football always offers everyone a chance to redeem themselves and the Spaniard stated that today’s home clash against Everton is an opportunity for the team to come back strongly from a disappointing result in Europe.
Cazorla stressed that the game against Everton is crucial as Arsenal are still involved in a tight race for a Champions League spot for next season and said that they need three points today to maintain their momentum in the league.
