Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has saluted his side's hard-fought 2-1 win over Ipswich Town at Elland Road tonight and feels it is a measure of how far they have come in recent months.
The game took time to spark to life as both sides enjoyed spells of possession and looked to have goals in them.
Leeds though appeared the more likely and did take the lead in the 71st minute when Alex Mowatt, who was receiving more of the ball, put the Whites in front with a well-struck free-kick.
But Leeds' lead did not last long and Freddie Sears drew Ipswich level just three minutes later, hitting a right-footed shot into the back of the net after a ball from Kevin Bru.
However, Leeds had another goal in them and Billy Sharp came up trumps in the 77th minute, getting on the end of a Lewis Cook cross.

Leeds did concede a penalty in the 84th minute, but Daryl Murphy saw his shot saved.
Redfearn was left delighted with the points and feels Leeds deserved the win.
"That's a measure of how far we've come", he told LUTV.
"These are a top six side and they've been up there all season.
"And that's another side at the top of the league that we've beaten.
"So we must be doing something right", the Leeds boss added.
