Aston Villa target Adem Ljajic has knocked back an approach from West Ham United.

The Serbian midfielder has been chased by Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa and Roma are keen to offload him this summer.

West Ham came forward with a bid of €3m to take Ljajic on loan for the season and a further €8m should they choose to keep the Serbian on a permanent basis.

But while the offer was good enough for Roma, who accepted the bid, Ljajic decided that he is not interested in moving to West Ham, according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia.

Ljajic is still expected to leave Roma before the transfer window slams shut, but where he will end up is uncertain following his rejection of West Ham.
