Mark Warburton wants Leicester City to give their all in the Premier League title race, with the 53-year-old insisting that he tells his charges the same thing at Rangers.

The Foxes, who appointed Claudio Ranieri in the summer, have been the surprise Premier League contenders in the present campaign.

Leicester currently find themselves five points clear at the top of the league table, with the King Power Stadium outfit set to face third-placed Arsenal tomorrow.

And Warburton, whose side are currently eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship standings, albeit having played one game less than second-placed Hibernian, called on both Leicester and Rangers to give their full commitment so that there is no scope for regret later.

“That’s where Claudio Ranieri’s expertise and experience will come in to play”, he told Rangers’ official site, while talking about Leicester’s title charge.

“It’s about keeping the focus, it’s about maintaining the focus and what are we here for?

“We are here to achieve our goals and I’m sure Leicester, at the start of the season, will be the first to say that winning the Premier League wasn’t their initial target.

“But as it has gone on, why not believe? Why not enjoy it? It may never happen again so don’t look back and say, ‘what if?’ That’s the important thing and we’ve said to the players here the same thing.

“Don’t look at the end of the season and say ‘I could have done this’ or ‘I could have done that better’. So give everything and don’t leave the pitch with any doubts.”

Rangers, who played out a goalless draw with Premiership side Kilmarnock in a Scottish Cup fifth round game last weekend, will next face Alloa Athletic in an away league fixture later in the day.
