Rangers manager Mark Warburton has admitted if his side win the Scottish Cup then his summer transfer plans could change.

Warburton, who has already conceded he wants to add up to five new players in the summer to help the Gers upon their return to the Scottish Premiership, knows if his side beat Hibernian in the cup final then they will book a European spot.

Rangers beat Celtic on penalties today to open up the possibility of winning the cup and Warburton revealed that European football would change the transfer planning at Ibrox.

He was quoted as saying by BBC Scotland: "Of course, if we were to win the final, that would impact on the recruitment process, and we would need another one or two players."

Expectations are now set to be sky high at Rangers when the side begin to compete again in the top flight of Scottish football next season.
