Arsenal have made Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante a priority target for the summer transfer window, according to French radio station RMC.

The Frenchman has played a key role in powering Leicester City to the top of the Premier League table and Claudio Ranieri's men are now in the process of celebrating their first ever title triumph.

While the Foxes want to keep Kante, a buy-out clause in the region of £20m in his contract means they may be rendered powerless if the midfielder wants to leave.

And Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants to see Kante make the move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer – so much so that he has made signing the midfielder a priority.

It is claimed Arsenal have kept in regular touch with Kante's representatives and are looking to activate the Leicester man's release clause to then seal the deal.

However, while Paris Saint-Germain recently suffered a blow by learning Kante wants to remain in England, Arsenal do not have a clear run.

Indeed, both Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in the midfield enforcer and the pair are expected to meet with Kante's representatives soon.

Leicester meanwhile want Kante to sign a new contract with a substantial pay increase.
