Leeds United head coach Steve Evans admits that he is preparing himself for pre-season as if he might be asked to continue in his role at Elland Road.
Despite helping Leeds finish 13th in the Championship table, the Scot’s future at Elland Road is shrouded in mystery as Massimo Cellino is yet to make a decision on whether he wants Evans to continue as their manager.
Cellino and the Leeds board are set for a meeting next week, where Evans' situation is expected to be taken up and the Scot is eagerly waiting to know whether he will have the opportunity to remain their head coach.
However, the 53-year-old has not allowed the uncertainty over his future to affect his work as he has continued to conduct his duties as Leeds boss and was recently scouting for the club in Scotland.
Evans stressed that he must be ready with his plans for the pre-season and the rest of the summer if he is asked to continue.

The Scot told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I was up early on Monday morning to get back into the training ground.
“I’m carrying on as people would expect me to because I’ve got a contract, I’m in the job and I want to be ready to run with pre-season and everything else if I get the call.”
Evans has continued to maintain that despite offers from other clubs, his first priority remains Leeds and wants to continue in his role at Elland Road.
