Chelsea are poised to make an offer for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle in the next week, with Blues boss Antonio Conte prepared to slug it out for the Everton target.

Pelle, who played under Conte at Euro 2016 for Italy this summer, has been linked with reuniting with former Southampton manager Ronald Koeman at Everton.

The Toffees are keen, as are a whole host of other clubs, including AC Milan.

According to Sky Italia, Chelsea are set to push hard for Pelle in the forthcoming week and will slap in a bid for the Southampton striker.

Conte, who has just seen Chelsea sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, wants Pelle, a player he knows well, at Stamford Bridge too.

It remains to be seen how Everton will react to the development, but Pelle has other options.

AC Milan have assessed taking Pelle back to Italy and the Rossoneri, who had been ready to wait until next summer to sign him on a free transfer, could make a move for him ahead of schedule.

Pelle also has a lucrative offer from China, worth €15m per season for three seasons.
