Crotone president Raffaele Vrenna believes that his club offer the ideal environment in which Mario Balotelli can relaunch his career.

Balotelli has just finished a season-long loan at AC Milan from Liverpool and is expected to be on the move this summer.

He joined Liverpool in 2014 from AC Milan for £16m, but flopped at Anfield and was loaned back to the Rossoneri for last term.

Balotelli struggled back at the San Siro and AC Milan have not moved to keep him, meaning his agent is now looking for options for the striker.

And Vrenna believes that Crotone could be the right club for Balotelli to move to, as he could quietly set about rebuilding his career.

The president told Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport: "Crotone is the ideal place for young talents to grow and express themselves.

"We could be the perfect club to revive an incredible player such as Balotelli, who has unfortunately experienced some difficult seasons", Vrenna added.

Crotone won promotion from Serie B last season and as a result have a Serie A campaign on the agenda next term.

It remains to be seen whether Balotelli would be willing to play for the minnows however, whose home ground holds just 9,547 people.
