Inter Milan and Lazio could meet later this evening to discuss a potential deal for Chelsea linked winger Antonio Candreva.

The 29-year-old winger’s agent has already stated that his client is looking for a fresh challenge this summer, and he has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days.

For the moment Inter are showing serious interest in snapping up the Italian international and it has been suggested that the player is ready to join Roberto Mancini’s team.

However, the Nerazzurri have so far struggled to agree a fee with Lazio, who want around €25m for the player, and Inter are working to chalk out the differences with the Roman giants.

Their current offer stands at around €18m, and according to Sky Italia, the Milanese giants could set up a meeting with Lazio later this evening to hold further talks over Candreva.

The player’s agent is also expected to be present in Milan later this evening, and could be part of the negotiations should both clubs agree to meet.

While Napoli are also interested in the player, Inter are ahead in the chase as they have already agreed personal terms with Candreva over a proposed contract.
