West Ham United are continuing to hope that Carlos Bacca agrees to move to the club from AC Milan, but they are not sitting on their hands and are exploring a deal for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Hammers have agreed a fee with AC Milan for Bacca, but the Colombia international has been less than keen on heading to the Olympic Stadium as he is only looking to join a club in the Champions League.

West Ham are waiting to see if Bacca has a rethink and agrees to head to England, but according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the Hammers are looking at other options.

And their focus is being drawn towards Mandzukic, a player West Ham boss Slaven Bilic knows well.

The Olympic Stadium side are assessing the availability and the viability of a deal to snap up Mandzukic from the Italian champions.

It remains to be seen if West Ham would drop their interest in Mandzukic if Bacca does agree to join, or instead opt for an ambitious approach and push to sign both players.

Mandzukic joined Juventus from Atletico Madrid last summer.
