Liverpool linked midfielder Piotr Zielinski will undergo a medical with Napoli on Thursday after the club reached an agreement with Udinese over his transfer.

After weeks of speculation surrounding the Polish midfielder’s future, he is finally on his way to Napoli after the club reached an agreement with Udinese.




Both clubs have shaken hands on a deal worth €14m, and according to Sky Italia, Zielinski will travel to Naples on Thursday to undergo a medical with the Serie A giants.

Napoli have been linked with a move for the young midfielder since the start of the summer, but Zielinski was waiting for Liverpool to formalise their interest in him as he preferred a move to England.
 


However, the Reds never managed agree a fee to sign the Poland international, and Napoli’s patience has finally paid off as Zielinski prepares for life at the San Paolo.

The 22-year-old’s performances for Empoli during his loan stint last season caught the attention of clubs across Europe, leading to the interest from Napoli.

Zielinski was also part of the Poland squad for this summer’s European Championship, and only wanted to take a decision on his future after the tournament.

He was also of interest to AC Milan.
