Gerard Deulofeu’s agent has conceded that a decision on his client’s future is in the hands of Everton and Barcelona at the moment.

The Spaniard spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan and was impressive enough to return to the Spain senior squad on the back of his performances in Italy.

Currently in Poland with the Spain squad for the European Under-21 Championship, the winger’s future has been a topic of speculation for months as Barcelona consider taking up the option of re-signing him.

The Catalan giants have an option to buy him back for €12m from Everton and his agent, Gines Carvajal, admits that it is up to the two clubs to decide what they want to do with Deulofeu.

Carvajal told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato when asked about the winger’s future: “I cannot say anything as the decision is not up to me.
