Monaco have established contact with the representatives of on-loan Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi with regards to a January move and Thierry Henry is hopeful of convincing the Belgian to move to France.

Batshuayi’s loan stint at Valencia has not gone according to plan and Chelsea and the Spanish club are in talks to cut the deal short to allow the striker to leave the Mestalla in January.

Chelsea are in conversations with other clubs to find one more destination for the Belgian next month and he has reportedly been offered to Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

AC Milan are also interested in the striker, but it seems Batshuayi could have the option of working under a familiar face from next month.

According to French outlet BuzzSport.fr, Henry has been using his contacts across Europe, and Monaco have been in touch with the player’s representatives and want to sign the striker on loan during the winter transfer window.

Monaco coach Henry worked with Batshuayi in the Belgium set-up and may be hoping to use all his influence to convince the striker to move to the Stade Louis II this winter.
