Wolves are in talks with Stoke City to sign full-back Moritz Bauer on a loan deal until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports News.

Nuno's side are looking for more depth and a backup for Matt Doherty, and have zeroed in on Bauer.

Bauer’s has a contract with Stoke until 2023, but has not been able to break into the first team regularly this season.

The 26-year old has had a difficult spell at Stoke this season, and has made just three appearances for the Potters in the Championship.

The Austrian returned to the Stoke bench in their 2-1 defeat against Brentford after 11 games, but has not featured for the team since September.

Bauer moved to Stoke in January 2018 and played 15 times in the Premier League before the side were relegated to the Championship.

Wolves manager Nuno has used wing-backs more often than not, and Bauer’s ability to play slightly higher up the pitch might help the team.
