Lazio are in talks to sign the Brazilian midfielder from Manchester United in the ongoing transfer window as the Premier League giants look to shift players out.

Pereira is considered surplus to requirements at Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to let him go in the final week of the window.

Lazio have offered to sign him on loan from Manchester United with an option to buy and the Premier League giants are ready to loan him out.

But according to Sky Italia, the two clubs are now haggling over how to share the midfielder’s salary during his loan stint.

Lazio are not prepared to pay his full wages and want Manchester United to shoulder part of his salary.

The two clubs have continued to hold talks and are hopeful that an agreement will be reached in the coming days.

The option to buy is likely to be around €15m and there are suggestions that Manchester United would prefer to be an obligatory purchase option.
