The Catalan giants failed in their efforts to snare away Garcia during the recent transfer window with Manchester City refusing to water down their demands for the player’s signature.
Garcia has his heart set on returning to his boyhood club and refused to extend his contract at the Etihad, that expires at the end of the season.
Barcelona are looking to try again for Garcia in January, but will need to offload fringe players to be able to bring the defender in to the Camp Nou.
And according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have identified no less than four players they could offload during the next transfer window to raise funds.
Junior Firpo, Carles Alena, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite are all players the Catalan giants are prepared to cash in on in January, after being deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona by coach Ronald Koeman.
Manchester City knocked back offers from Barcelona for Garcia in the last transfer window and it remains to be seen if they will play ball in January.
The 19-year-old, who arrived in Manchester from Barcelona in the summer of 2017, has so far made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League giants.
