The Denmark international plied his trade for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur for almost seven years before moving to Italy in January this year.

Eriksen swapped the north London outfit for Serie A giants Inter, but the move has not gone as planned for him.

With the 28-year-old struggling to clock playing time at Inter, the Italian top flight side are prepared to allow him to leave the club in January.

A return to the Premier League could happen and, according to Eurosport, West Ham are likely to look into signing him.

The Hammers have made a strong start to the campaign, sitting eighth in the league with 17 points, which is just seven points behind table-toppers Spurs.

As the transfer window draws closer, West Ham could look to bolster their ranks further in an attempt to continue building on the momentum they have gathered so far.

However, it remains to be seen if a move to West Ham would be one that appeals to Eriksen.
