The 21-year-old midfielder joined Newcastle from Arsenal on loan in the winter transfer window and has impressed at St. James’ Park.
He scored three goals in his last three appearances for the club and have given them a huge boost in their bid to steer away from the Premier League relegation zone.
Newcastle are interested in bringing him back at the club for next season as well but it has been claimed no talks are yet to take place with Arsenal.
And the north London club are yet to make a decision on whether Willock should be at the Emirates next term.
The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the midfielder’s loan spell and he remains highly rated at the club.
But Mikel Arteta is yet to take a decision on whether he sees a place for Willock in his squad going forward into the 2021/22 season.
Newcastle could be prepared to sign him on a permanent deal as well, but the transfer budget is expected to be tight at the club this summer.
Therefore, the Magpies would prefer to sign Willock on a loan deal with Arsenal expected to insist on him signing a new deal or including a mandatory purchase option in any agreement.
