The 33-year-old goalkeeper has a year left on his contract with the club and Roma are interested in taking him to Italy in the ongoing transfer window.

The Serie A giants have been in talks with Wolves over signing Patricio, but they are yet to match the Premier League’s valuation of the goalkeeper.

Wolves reportedly do not have a massive desire to sell Patricio despite his contractual situation due to the potential difficulty of bringing in a proper replacement for him this summer.

And it has been claimed that new Wolves boss Lage has communicated to the club that he wants the goalkeeper to stay.

Patricio has been one of the pillars of the Wolves side and is one of the most important voices inside the dressing room.

Lage does not want to lose such an influential and senior player in the squad at the start of his time at Wolves.

Roma are pushing to land him and it remains to be seen whether they can offer the kind of money that could force Wolves to sell Patricio this summer.
