Having impressed for Brighton in his first top flight campaign last term, the 23-year-old attracted significant transfer interest from clubs in the Premier League.

Arsenal have seen Graham Potter’s side knock back two offers for White, but have been said to be edging closer to meeting the centre-back’s asking price.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City have been claimed to be keeping tabs on the England international’s situation at the Amex Stadium.

While Arsenal remain the side to have shown the most interest in White, Brighton are yet to receive an offer that would convince them to sanction a move for the defender.

The Seagulls are not under pressure to sell White and it is said that they would only be persuaded to do so if they receive an offer which is nonsensical to say no to.

Although Brighton have not slapped a price tag on the Englishman publicly, there have been suggestions that they want a fee in the region of £50m.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the defender, but are yet to meet the Seagulls’ valuation of the player.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea, Everton or Manchester City will step up their interest in White and look to leapfrog the Gunners in the chase for the player.
