Fiorentina star Milenkovic has been linked with leaving the club summer having entered the final 12 months of his current deal at the club.
La Viola are open to letting him go for the right price and a fee around the €25 to €30m mark is mooted.
Milenkovic’s situation at Fiorentina has seen him draw admiring glances from abroad and it has been claimed Spurs tabled an initial offer for him, which Fiorentina deemed to be too low.
The chase may not be over though as, according to Italian daily La Nazione, Tottenham have sent a message to Fiorentina explaining that they could go back in for the player.
Spurs have been clear that if they do return it will not be before, at the earliest, 20th July.
If Fiorentina are unable to reach an agreement with Spurs over Milenkovic, they are tipped to try and extend his stint at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will return to the table for Milenkovic in the coming weeks as they look to rebuild under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
