With Inter expected to make a move for Duvan Zapata this summer after Romelu Lukaku joins Chelsea, Atalanta showed an interest in Abraham.

The Italian club held talks with Chelsea and the striker’s representative with a view to taking him to Bergamo in the ongoing transfer window.

Chelsea are prepared to sell the forward and want around €40m from his departure this summer.

But according to Sky Italia, Atalanta are no longer in the race to sign Abraham in the ongoing transfer window.

The negotiations are no longer taking place between the Italian club and Chelsea over the striker’s potential move to Bergamo.

Roma are the Italian club who are interested in the Chelsea striker now as they are close to losing Edin Dzeko to Inter.

Jose Mourinho likes the England striker and is interested in taking him to the Stadio Olimpico.

But Abraham is keen on staying in England and is likely to prefer a move to Arsenal if the north London club agree to meet Chelsea’s asking price for him.
