Arsenal and Sheffield United finally managed to work out an agreement on Wednesday evening after several weeks of negotiations over a deal for Ramsdale.

The England goalkeeper has been keen on the move, but it seemed the negotiations were off last week when Arsenal declined to meet Sheffield United’s demands.

But the talks were revived this week and the Ramsdale is now finally on the verge of joining the north London club.

It has been claimed that Arsenal are now putting the goalkeeper through a medical ahead of the completion of the transfer.

Once the medical is done, Ramsdale will sign a long-term contract to join Arsenal permanently.

Arsenal have committed to paying a fee of £24m and another £6m in add-ons based on appearances and performances.

The Gunners are hopeful that Ramsdale will push Bernd Leno for the first choice goalkeeper’s position this season.
