Goretzka is in the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich and earlier in the summer there were rumours of discontent around negotiations over a new deal for him.
There were claims that the midfielder was pushing to become one of the highest-paid players in the squad and Bayern Munich’s offer was far away from matching his demands.
Manchester United made a contract offer with a view to signing him next summer, but it has been claimed that the differences with Bayern Munich have been sorted out.
According to German broadcaster Sport1, an agreement is in place for Goretzka to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The midfielder and his representatives have given their consent to a five-year deal worth €15m per season.
Despite rumours of offers from other clubs, Goretzka was clear about wanting to stay at Bayern Munich for the long term.
And the Bavarians now have the consent of the midfielder and he will soon be putting pen to paper on the new deal.
