Having entered the final year of his contract with Arsenal, Nketiah has been heavily linked with a move away from the club during the ongoing transfer window.

Brighton considered taking the centre-forward as part of the deal that saw Ben White head in the opposite direction of £50m this month, but are now rated as an unlikely option.

Crystal Palace have been credited with an interest in signing Nketiah before the transfer window slams shut, with Patrick Vieira looking to make use of his relationship with the Gunners.

The Eagles are prepared to offer Arsenal a fee of £10m for the 22-year-old, but they are not the only club still in the race to sign him.

Crystal Palace face competition from an unnamed club in Germany for the signature of Nketiah, with the team in question sharing the Eagles’ valuation of £10m.

The German club are said to have already had two approaches for the centre-forward turned down by Arsenal.

The north London giants are looking to coup a fee of £20m from Nketiah’s sale this summer.
