James started two of Manchester United’s three Premier League games, but has become surplus to requirements following the impending arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

With the veteran forward arriving, Manchester United have sensed the need to offload one or two of their attackers in order to trim the squad.

And they are now prepared to listen to offers for James despite insisting earlier in the summer that he is part of their plans this season.

Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly told Leeds to secure a deal to sign him and it has been claimed that it most likely to be a loan deal.

Manchester United are keen to move him on but are likely to favour a loan over a permanent deal.

That can only change if a club can put down a major cash offer for him and tempt the Red Devils into selling him.

Leeds are not the only interest in James with Brighton, Wolves and Leicester are also believed to be keen to sign him.
