Tottenham have been pushing hard to secure a deal to sign the right-back from Barcelona this summer and are close to obtaining his signature.
An agreement is in place between the two clubs for his move with Tottenham agreeing to pay a fee of €30m to the Catalan giants.
Emerson was reportedly initially reluctant to leave Barcelona, but he has come around and personal terms have also been agreed upon.
It has been claimed that Tottenham are now putting him through a medical in Barcelona ahead of the move.
Once the medical is done, Emerson will sign a contract with Tottenham, which is likely to be a substantial jump from his current salary at Barcelona.
Tottenham are trying to hurry through the process as they look to get the deal over the line in time to register him today.
The north London club are also looking to offload one of Matt Doherty or Serge Aurier ahead of Emerson’s impending arrival.
