Lookman spent last season on loan at Fulham and returned to RB Leipzig in the summer after the Cottagers were relegated from the Premier League.

He has not featured for RB Leipzig yet and the club are believed to be open to letting him go ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.

Leicester have been in talks to sign the winger from the German club, but there were suggestions that the two clubs are a distance apart in their valuation of the player.

But it has been claimed that the distance between the two clubs is lessening and RB Leipzig have agreed to lower their financial demands.

There is still no agreement over a fee but Leicester are now pushing to land the winger on deadline day.

They are hopeful of reaching an agreement with RB Leipzig in their bid to take Lookman back to England.

The winger is open to the move and is assessing the possibility of joining Leicester today.

He is waiting for the two clubs to work out a deal before taking the next steps for his future.
