Greuther Furth took on the German champions over the weekend and were trailing by 3-0 as the match neared it’s end but Itten was able to score a consolation goal for his loan club.

It was the third appearance he made for the Bundesliga side and he got off the mark by scoring against the Bavarians even as his team succumbed to a fourth straight defeat in the league.

Itten revealed that he was delighted to score against the German giants and believes the moment is one he will cherish in the future.

He complemented the team for their performance against the Bavarians and insists that if Greuther Furth keep playing in the same vein they will pick up more points.

“Of course it’s especially nice for me to score against Bayern”, Itten told Greuther Furth’s official site.

“That was a very special moment.

“We put in a great team effort.

“We fought and ran for each other.

“We can build on that and we have to bring that on to the pitch in the next few games.

“Then I am also convinced that we will get our points.”

Greuther Furth are chained to the bottom of the Bundesliga table and Itten will be hoping he is able to make substantial progress going forward in Germany, while also looking to help his side avoid the drop.
