The 20-year-old striker is wanted at several clubs in Europe, but Internacional have managed to keep them at bay for the moment.

He joined Internacional from Santos last year and has scored 28 times in 78 appearances for the club since making the switch, catching the eye in the process.

Several clubs have been intensively looking at Alberto and he is expected to cross the Atlantic soon and move to Europe.

According to Brazilian outlet Torcedores.com, Everton and Manchester City have launched probes to take him to England in the near future.

Scouts of both clubs have put down glowing reports on the forward and both have made enquiries.

Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Roma and Napoli have also been keeping tabs on him and have lodged enquiries.

But AC Milan are the ones who are pushing to land the striker and recently tabled a €10m bid for him.

Internacional immediately rejected the offer and demanded the figure of €80m in Alberto’s release clause.

No club are expected to spend such sums on him and there are suggestions that the Brazilians could accept around €20m before agreeing to sell him.
