The Hammers have had a superb start to the campaign, fourth in the Premier League after ten games and are also top of their Europa League group.

West Ham managed to keep their undefeated record in Europe this season alive on Thursday as they returned from Belgium with a point in the bag after a 2-2 draw away at Genk.

Former top flight star Parlour is impressed with the capital club’s start this season and sees them having a great chance of clinching the Europa League.

Parlour stressed that given West Ham are also pushing for a top four finish in the league in addition to chasing glory in Europe, boss Moyes needs to find balance in his squad and keep player fresh.

Asked whether West Ham have a chance of winning the Europa League, Parlour said on talkSPORT: “Yes definitely.

“I think they have a very good chance of winning it.

“The team they have got now, we have seen in the Premier League, compete every week, they are scoring goals, exciting to watch.

“All David Moyes has got to try and do is to get that balance right.

“He has got to keep trying and keep people fresh in the Premier League as well because they are in a very good position.

“But also it is very hard to keep doing on all fronts what they are doing, but I think the club are on a high at the moment, they really are.”

West Ham return to Premier League action on Sunday and will lock horns with an in-form Liverpool side at the London Stadium.
