The Magpies witnessed a sea of change in October with a Saudi Arabia-led consortium buying the club and the new owners are expected to heavily invest in player recruitment in the upcoming transfer windows.

It has been claimed Bayern Munich centre-back Sule is among Newcastle’s top transfer targets and they are claimed to have held talks with his entourage over a potential move.

However, Sule’s agent Volker Struth revealed that he has not held any talks with the Tyneside giants over a move for his client and insisted they will keep on being linked with moves for other players all the time from now on with their finances being rejuvenated by the takeover.

“On the subject of Newcastle United, there is now an investor who is said to make the club the richest in Europe”, Struth said on German television channel Sport 1’s Meine Bayern-Woche Podcast.

“No, there were no talks [with Newcastle].

“There will be rumours every week from now on that some player is going there.

“Now it is Sule, soon maybe Kingsley Coman or even Erling Haaland.”

Sule’s current deal at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer but Struth stressed that the defender could sign a new deal at the club and remain there.

“Everything is open, [he can stay at Bayern Munich].

“Everyone, who is familiar with the business knows that there will be talks soon.

“Then you have to see what happens.”

As it stands Sule is allowed to sign a pre-contract agreement with any interested party in January and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will get in touch with his agent in the near future.
