Gil has struggled for regular game time at Spurs since joining from Sevilla in the summer.

The winger is open to the idea of leaving Tottenham on loan for the remainder of the season and the club will sanction an exit if they can seal a deal for Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Gil is not short of suitors should he leave Spurs this month as Ligue 1 outfit Nice and La Liga sides Valencia and Sociedad are interested in signing him on a temporary basis.

And according to Spanish daily Estadio Deportivo, Los Txuri-Urdin have made initial contact with Gil over joining this month.

Sociedad, who are looking for a replacement for the injured Ander Barrenetxea, have sounded out Gil signing on loan and the player is interested in a move to the Reale Arena.

Joining Sociedad could also provide Gil with an opportunity to play regular football, something which he is keen on doing to also boost his chances of getting back into the Spanish national team.

Sociedad also have a good relationship with the sports agency that represent Gil and it remains to be seen whether they will able to seal a deal for him in the coming days.
