Muller’s current deal at Bayern Munich is set to expire in the summer of 2023, and the club’s hierarchy are evaluating the possibility of extending his stint.

The German is a legend at the Bavarians, but has regularly been linked with a potential move away throughout his time at the club.

However, Muller could be handed an opportunity to play his trade in the Premier League as English top flight duo Everton and newly rich Newcastle are interested in a move for him.

The Magpies are on the lookout for more attacking options and it is claimed they are interested in snapping up the 32-year-old, while Everton are also keen on bringing him to Merseyside.

However, Newcastle are yet to make any kind of contact with Muller over a move St James’ Park.

The 2010 World Cup winner has over 600 appearances for Bayern Munich and has remained a talismanic figure in the final third for them.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle or Everton act upon their interest and make move for Muller this month or in the next transfer window.
